This Way My Muse

Priscilla Petitti Flores: I am an artist working with paint, photography, and clay. Doors, passages, and stairways—the places to which they lead suggested but unrevealed—are part of my iconography representing the creative process and the artist's journey. The graphic compositions, colors, and textures of architectural elements in concert with their unique signs of age contribute to the organic quality of these images. My paintings and photographs also examine the abstract qualities of skeletal and floral imagery. My ceramic work explores the harmony of pure form, texture, and color within the functional vessel format, cross referencing the characteristics of these elements from the imagery in my two-dimensional work. I am an art educator as well, and this site features some of the outstanding artwork of my students in Somerville, North Plainfield, and Madison, NJ.
